Sussex County Dog Walking Group was created as a way to exercise & socialize dogs while enjoying nature. Walking as a group is a great way for both you and your dog to get exercise, socialize with other dog enthusiasts, socialize your dog to other dogs in a relaxed setting, allow your dog to return to his roots & use his nose to explore nature, and to have safety in numbers. Training suggestions are provided during the walks.

Who Should Attend?
EVERYONE!
This group is open to all breeds and all ages.
We encourage dogs who are reactive to other dogs to join us to help desensitize them to the object of their discontent. Reactive dogs and their owners will be guided at a comfortable distance to reduce their reactivity towards other dogs.
We love when young puppies join us too! Socializing puppies at an early age is vital to having a well-rounded adult dog! Puppies of all ages are welcome!
When should I keep my dog home?
Only healthy dogs should attend. If you suspect your dog is not feeling well, please wait until his symptoms clear up before attending the next walk.
Can Children Attend?
Children of all ages are welcome to join with their parents and must be under complete supervision throughout the walk.
Is There a Cost?
Each walk is $5.00 per family regardless of the number of dogs.
This money goes towards maintaining our site, a toy raffle, and monthly birthday parties!

Liability Waiver:
Terms & Conditions: By Joining "Sussex County Dog Walking Club" I understand I am walking my dog at my own risk. I understand that attendance of any of the walks is not without risk to myself, members of my family, guests who may attend, or to my dog. I understand it is my responsibility to keep my dog under control at all times. These are leashed dog walks in accordance with the local park rules. I further understand that coming in contact with other dogs is not without health risks and that it is my responsibility to be sure my dog is properly vaccinated and in good health. In consideration of this I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dee Broton/Holistic Behavior Solutions, LLC of any and all claims, claims by any member of my family, or accompanying guests of injury, expense, costs or damages to myself, my dog or any handler sponsored by me. I further understand that any pictures taken of the event may be used for press, website or advertising for an indefinite period of time.
I agree to keep my dog on leash at all times. I understand that a harness, flat buckle collar, or martingale collar are recommended rather than choke chains & prong collars. It is best to introduce dogs off leash; however for our purposes, remain calm and try to keep the leash loose relieving pressure from the dog’s neck during all introductions.
I also agree to ask the owner of each dog for permission prior to an introduction between dogs. Do not assume that all dogs like all other dogs.
