Unfortunately, there are toxins in every environment. The good news is there are a bunch of ways to lessen the toxic burden on ourselves and our pets. A few simple ways to reduce the intake of toxins: ~ Don't use artificial / synthetic chemicals to fragrance your home ~ Fabric softeners, carpet fresheners, air fresheners, linen sprays, candles, etc. contain many toxic
chemicals and we all know how sensitive our dogs' noses are ~ Don't use synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. Your dog will absorb these chemicals through the pads of
his feet and by inhaling through his nose. Let's face it, dogs explore their environment by sniffing and
sometimes tasting. Most chemicals have warnings on the label, but few people realize the lasting
effects of these chemicals on the environment or the many ways they can enter the body. They
don't just "go away". There are many alternatives that are not toxic and will still leave your lawn and
garden looking gorgeous! ~ Don't use shampoo on your dog that contains anything you can not pronounce! ~ Don't use caustic chemicals to clean your home! I personally use Thieves Household Cleaner for EVERYTHING from cleaning my granite counter tops to cleaning pet stains on the carpet and dirty windows. Thieves contains NO synthetic chemicals and is extremely anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-microbial. It is great to clean the smallest crate to the largest kennel.
