Fear & Anxiety

I would say a good 60% of the behavior cases I get involve some form of fear and/or anxiety.  Fear is the leading cause of aggression in dogs. Dogs suffer from phobias, depression, anxiety, and PTSD just like humans do.  The biggest difference is they can't speak to us and explain how they are feeling.  Often times they subtle signs of discomfort go unnoticed to the untrained eye and lead to bigger and bigger outbursts of what appears to be aggressive behavior.

What Causes Fearful Behaviors:

          1. Genetics

          2. Early life experiences

          3. Lack of early socialization

          4. Trauma
